2/28 in our classroom- Kindness assembly and Read-a-Thon

Look all the caught-yas we have collected so far. Mrs. G wants to have this bucket overflowing by June.

Our kindness assembly as a school. We learned a song about kindness and watched a video that modeled how we can be kind. Afterwards, teachers drew four caught-yas. Congratulations Aadit, Lily, Marek and Connor for having your name drawn and getting a prize. Great job earning a caught-ya! How many caught-yas will we earn this month? This month caught-yas will be passed out for students who display kindness.

We filled our marble jar and were able to watch the Mouse and Motorcycle movie which is on streaming on netflix. It is also on youtube if you want to check it out.  We all enjoyed watching this movie in pjs with our pillows. I even joined them on the floor to watch. Students were noticing differences in the movie and book. They also noticed how "old school" the movie was and they got quite a laugh out of it.

Mrs. Kloczko was our Mystery Reader. In honor of Dr. Seuss's birthday she read Green Eggs and a Ham.

Our read-a-thon in class on 2/28. Students were able to bring books from home and just read! They were able to share books within one another or read by themselves. We read for about 45 minutes that day and it was great!! Mrs. G's class loves reading!!
